      1

What is the ratio of coconut wax to rapeseed wax in your blend?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend uses a majority rapeseed wax base combined with hydrogenated coconut wax in a proprietary ratio optimised for container candle performance. The coconut wax component improves glass adhesion, fragrance binding, and surface finish compared to pure rapeseed wax alone; the rapeseed wax base provides EU-origin sustainability credentials and the natural, matte surface aesthetic valued by the premium natural candle market. Full ingredient percentages are available upon request for product labelling and certification purposes.
      2

What melting point does your coconut-rapeseed blend offer for container candles?

Our coconut-rapeseed container grade has a melting point of 48–54°C — appropriate for glass jar and tin candle applications. A pillar grade with melting point of 56–62°C is also available for freestanding pillar, votive, and tealight candles. The blended melting point is higher than pure rapeseed wax alone, thanks to the coconut wax component which contributes hardness and structural stability at room temperature. Specify your candle format when requesting a quotation.
      3

What is the minimum order quantity for the coconut-rapeseed wax blend?

Minimum order quantity is 25 kg for trial orders, making our coconut-rapeseed blend accessible to artisan and small-batch candle makers as well as production-scale manufacturers. Full pallet (500 kg) and container load (15–20 MT) quantities are available with volume-based pricing. Contact our sales team at +44 20 7101 3847 or sales@biogreenwax.com to confirm current pricing and availability for your delivery destination.
      4

What is the current price per kg for the coconut-rapeseed wax blend?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend is priced as a premium natural wax, reflecting the cost of both European rapeseed and hydrogenated coconut oil components. It is competitive within the premium natural and sustainable candle wax category. Contact our sales team at sales@biogreenwax.com for current per-kg pricing based on your volume and delivery requirements — volume pricing is available for pallet and container quantities.
      5

Is your coconut-rapeseed blend 100% natural and vegan certified?

Yes. Our coconut-rapeseed blend is made exclusively from hydrogenated rapeseed oil and hydrogenated coconut oil — both entirely plant-derived with no animal ingredients. It is 100% suitable for vegan claims. Vegan compliance documentation is provided as standard for use in Vegan Society certification applications. Organic certified versions using certified organic rapeseed and coconut oil can be sourced for brands requiring certified organic positioning. Contact us with your specific certification requirements.
      6

What fragrance loading percentage does the coconut-rapeseed blend support?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend supports fragrance loadings of 8–10% by weight. The coconut wax component specifically improves fragrance binding capacity compared to pure rapeseed wax — resulting in better fragrance retention during storage and stronger hot scent throw during burning. We recommend starting at 8% with your chosen fragrance oil and testing before scaling. Fragrance oils formulated for natural wax systems (rather than paraffin-optimised fragrances) perform best. Contact our technical team for fragrance compatibility guidance.
      7

Does your blend achieve good glass adhesion in glass jar candles?

Yes — glass adhesion is one of the key formulation advantages of our coconut-rapeseed blend over pure rapeseed wax. The coconut wax component significantly improves wax-to-glass bonding, reducing the pull-away and adhesion gaps that are common with pure rapeseed wax. Correct pour temperature (55–60°C) and pre-warmed jars (40–45°C) are essential for optimal adhesion. Our technical data sheet provides a full pour protocol for best glass adhesion results — contact sales@biogreenwax.com to request it.
      8

Is your coconut-rapeseed blend suitable for EU and UK natural candle certification?

Yes. Our coconut-rapeseed blend is formulated from ingredients — hydrogenated rapeseed oil and hydrogenated coconut oil — that are widely accepted under EU and UK natural ingredient standards. The blend is compatible with COSMOS Natural certification frameworks when paired with certified natural fragrances and dyes. Both rapeseed and coconut wax are listed as natural in the COSMOS Approved Substance List. Contact us for full ingredient documentation to support your natural product certification application.
      9

What is the recommended pour temperature for the coconut-rapeseed blend?

For our jar/container grade, pour at 55–62°C into jars pre-warmed to 40–45°C. For the pillar grade, pour at 62–68°C into room-temperature moulds. Correct pour temperature is critical for glass adhesion and surface quality — pouring too cool causes rough tops and poor glass contact; too hot can cause fragrance flashing and surface sinkholes. Allow candles to cool naturally at room temperature (18–22°C) without drafts for best results. A full pour protocol is available in our technical data sheet.
      10

What wick types are recommended for candles made with this blend?

For container candles with our coconut-rapeseed blend, we recommend ECO series natural cotton core wicks or wooden wicks — both complement the natural brand positioning. As a starting guide for ECO wicks: ECO-8 to ECO-12 for 65–85mm diameter jars. Wooden wicks — which produce a pleasant crackling sound — are increasingly popular in the premium natural candle category and perform well with this blend. Always validate your wick choice with a burn test programme using your specific jar, fragrance, and dye combination.
      11

Can the coconut-rapeseed blend be used for wax melts and tealights?

Yes. Our coconut-rapeseed blend is well suited to wax melts, clamshell snap bars, and tealight cups in addition to container candles. The blend's excellent fragrance-holding capacity makes wax melts from this blend particularly effective in ceramic and electric oil burners. The natural off-white colour produces clean-looking, attractive wax melt shapes suitable for premium market positioning. Specify your intended application format when ordering so we can confirm the appropriate grade.
      12

What is the scent throw performance — hot and cold — of this blend?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend delivers excellent cold scent throw from the porous rapeseed wax crystal structure, combined with good hot scent throw improved by the coconut wax's superior fragrance binding capacity versus pure rapeseed. At 8–10% fragrance loading with a soy/natural-wax-optimised fragrance oil, hot scent throw performance is strong. For maximum performance, we recommend fragrances with a good balance of mid and base note components that release progressively during the burn rather than all at once.
      13

Do you supply the blend in pellet or block form?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend is supplied in flake/pellet form in 25 kg bags as standard — the most efficient format for candle production. Pellets melt uniformly, are easy to weigh accurately, and are compatible with automated production equipment. Block form is available on request. Full pallet quantities (500 kg) and container loads are available for volume buyers.
      14

Is the rapeseed oil in this blend from UK or EU-origin sustainable sources?

Yes. The rapeseed wax component of our blend is derived from UK and EU-origin rapeseed oil — predominantly UK-grown rapeseed from British farms. This provides an exceptionally strong sustainability story: locally grown, supporting British agriculture, with a minimal transportation carbon footprint compared to tropical waxes. Traceability documentation confirming UK or EU rapeseed origin is available for brands wishing to make provenance claims in their marketing or to satisfy retailer sustainability requirements.
      15

What surface finish does this blend produce — smooth, creamy, or matte?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend produces a smooth, creamy off-white surface — slightly more matte than paraffin but less frosted than pure soy wax. The natural, organic surface aesthetic is well suited to premium and artisan candle brand positioning in the natural product market. Minor surface frosting is a natural characteristic of rapeseed wax and is considered by many consumers and retailers as an authentic indicator of natural plant-based content — increasingly a positive commercial differentiator.
      16

What is the shelf life of the coconut-rapeseed blend in storage?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend has a shelf life of 18–24 months from production date in original sealed packaging, stored at 15–22°C away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. As a natural plant-based wax, it is more susceptible to oxidation and odour absorption than petroleum-based waxes — sealed storage in a cool, consistent-temperature environment is essential for maintaining quality throughout the storage period.
      17

Can additional coconut oil or soy wax be blended in to adjust hardness?

Yes — with caution. Adding additional hydrogenated coconut oil (coconut wax) to our blend will increase hardness and slightly raise the melting point. Adding soy wax will slightly soften the blend and increase opacity. However, modifying the blend composition may affect the glass adhesion and fragrance performance balance we have optimised. We recommend contacting our technical team before making additions to confirm that your target modification will not compromise candle quality — and we can provide guidance on blend ratios if adjustment is needed.
      18

What certifications do you offer for the blend — vegan, organic, non-GMO?

Our coconut-rapeseed blend is 100% vegan with standard vegan compliance documentation. Non-GMO certification is provided as standard (neither rapeseed nor coconut is genetically modified commercially). Organic certified versions using certified organic rapeseed and coconut oil can be sourced on request. UK/EU provenance documentation for the rapeseed component is available. Contact sales@biogreenwax.com with your specific certification requirements and we will advise on available options and documentation.
      19

What are your lead times for the coconut-rapeseed blend supply?

Standard lead times for UK and EU customers are 2–3 weeks for pallet orders from stock. Container load quantities require 4–6 weeks. Contact our sales team at +44 20 7101 3847 or sales@biogreenwax.com for current stock availability and a confirmed delivery schedule for your order. We recommend ordering 4–6 weeks ahead of production to ensure consistent supply continuity.
